Get ready for a walking tour of the city that will offer you a historical overview, among the streets and squares of the historic center, and during which you will taste some of the best culinary delicacies of Catania."

Possible tastings:

Arancini – famous all over the world, are made up of a ball of rice filled with the most varied ingredients (meat, cooked ham, spinach, pistachio, aubergines and much more) and then fried as tradition dictates.

Sicilian caponata – it is a set of fried vegetables (mostly aubergines), seasoned with tomato sauce, celery, onion, olives, capers, sugar and vinegar. There are numerous variations of it, given its diffusion throughout the Mediterranean Sea. Caponata is generally used today as a side dish or appetizer, but since the 18th century it has constituted a single dish.

Fried Fish Cone – a delicious cone filled with various types of fried fish, caught that day!

Catanese onion – a rustic Sicilian made with puff pastry, filled with fried onions, cooked ham and stringy cheese. A classic piece of Catanese rotisserie, which you will love from the first bite. A crunchy, flaky shell that contains a warm, stringy and sweet filling.

Cartocciata – the Catanese cartocciata is a stuffed rustic dish, fragrant and rich in flavour. A specialty of the Sicilian rotisserie, similar to a small oven-cooked calzone, from which it differs due to its thicker and softer dough.

Sicilian cannoli – the wafer, traditionally shaped around a hot metal bar, is filled with a sweet and creamy preparation made with ricotta, candied fruit, crunchy pistachios or dark chocolate chips. An explosion of taste and colour!

Sicilian granita – perfect for relaxing and cooling off on hot summer afternoons. It is served in a glass and is ideal for finishing off a rich meal. Fresh fruit, sugar and ice are the necessary ingredients, simple, but incredibly tasty!
